<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanging cultivation apparatus preventing stems of climbing plants from being overcrowded, capable of improving the growth environment of fruits by heightening air-permeability and light transmission properties among stems, having weight-lightened hanging rod bodies and miniaturized bearings and the like, and enabling the reduction of a cost of the apparatus, and to provide a cultivation method. <P>SOLUTION: The growth environment of fruits can be improved by preventing the stems of climbing plants from being overcrowded, and heightening air-permeability and light transmission properties among the stems because many right guide strings and many left guide strings wound on the outer periphery of the hanging rod bodies at a prescribed pitch in the longitudinal direction are distributed alternately. The horizontal components of the forces acting on the hanging rod bodies from both of the guide strings are counterbalanced because each right guide string is hung down from a right guide wire and each left guide string is hung down from a left guide wire, and both the guide wires receive a part of the forces of the guide strings. As a result, the forces acting on the hanging rod bodies through the guide strings are small to enable the hanging rod bodies to be provided at a smaller diameter than that of a conventional one and to enable the miniaturization and cost reduction of the apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
