<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-walled carbon nanotube which is useful as an industrial material such as a high-strength carbon-based wire, has a controlled diameter and high purity, particularly a uniform single-walled carbon nanotube having a diameter ranging from 1.0 to 2.0 nm, and to provide a method for producing the single-walled carbon nanotube with high efficiency, in large quantities at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: Concerning this method for producing a single-walled carbon nanotube from a carbon source by a flowing vapor-phase CVD method using a saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon which is in a liquid state at ambient temperature as the first carbon source and an unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon which is in a gaseous state at ambient temperature as the second carbon source, the obtained single-walled carbon nanotube has a diameter ranging from 1.0 to 2.0 nm and also has the intensity ratio IG/ID of G-band to D-band in a Raman spectrum of ≥200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
