<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a particle accelerator, capable of connecting an acceleration tube and connection members certainly without causing leakage by heating the particle accelerator only once in a vacuum furnace. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a particle accelerator comprises the steps of: arranging brazing materials at joint surfaces of connection members (a waveguide connection member 220 and a vacuuming pipe connection member 222) and an outer periphery of an acceleration tube, and temporarily fixing the connection members to the outer periphery of the acceleration tube by setting screws into screw holes 290 and 292 arranged at the outer periphery of the acceleration tube via through holes 220d and 222d arranged at the connection members; holding the connection members with a holding jig so that the joint surfaces of the connection members, which are temporality fixed to the outer periphery of the acceleration tube, and the outer periphery of the acceleration tube are elastically pressed against each other; and introducing the connection members held by the holding jig and the acceleration tube into a vacuum furnace, and heating them therein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
