<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a power loss generated at a power meter in a power-saving mode. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a direct current power source unit 220 power-supplied from a commercial power source 101 and a power saving power source 210, and is operational by a power-saving mode which disconnects a power supply from the commercial power source 101 to the direct current power source unit 220. The image forming apparatus also comprises: a power meter 100 which is provided on a power supply path from the commercial power source 101 to the direct current power source unit 220, and measures power consumption of the direct current power source unit 220 and a load supplied with power from the direct current power source unit 220; a storage part 320 for preliminarily storing power consumption data of the power saving power source 210 and the load supplied with power from the power saving power source 210 in the power saving mode; and a control part 310 which, in an operation of the power saving mode, disconnects the power meter 100 from the power supply path, and calculates the power consumption in the power-saving mode on the basis of the power consumption data stored in the storage part 320. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
