<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulky paper that can be obtained under good operation conditions without using a bulking agent and a bulking filler. <P>SOLUTION: The bulky paper includes NBKP at a ratio of 20 mass% or less and mechanical pulp at a ratio of 15 mass% or more and 60 mass% or less in the total pulp as raw material pulp. A bulking agent and a bulking filler are added. The bulky paper is produced by carrying out at least a dehydration treatment using a shoe press at a nipping linear pressure of 200-1400 kN/m in a press step 2 of a papermaking process and keeping the nipping linear pressure at 50 kN/m or less throughout a subsequent smoothing step 12. The bulky paper has a density of 0.45-0.65 g/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and an Oken type smoothness of 5 seconds or more as measured according to JAPAN TAPPI Pulp and Paper Test method No.5-2:2000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
