<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tapered roller bearing whose outer ring can be produced at low cost, and a mounting structure therefor. <P>SOLUTION: An outer ring 5 of a tapered roller bearing 1 is formed by press working of a steel sheet. As a result, conventional cutting working when producing an outer ring is no longer necessary, and therefore, the production cost of the outer ring 5 is reduced and at the same time, the tapered roller bearing 1 can be easily mounted in a housing 2 by providing a flange part 11 at the large-diameter end part and a direct cylinder part 12 at the small-diameter end part of the outer ring 5 and causing the flange part 11 and the direct cylinder part 12 of the outer ring 5 to engage with the housing 2 having an inner peripheral shape corresponding to the outer peripheral shape of the outer ring 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
