<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system having a superior vibration-proof performance and yet having a high-performance and favorable optical performance, an optical apparatus including the optical system, and a method for manufacturing the optical system. <P>SOLUTION: The optical system includes, in order from an object side: a first lens group G1; a second lens group G2 having negative refractive power; and a third lens group G3 having positive refractive power. An antireflection film is provided at least one surface of the optical surfaces in the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2, and the antireflection film includes at least one layer formed by using a wet process. The first lens group G1 is fixed in the optical axis direction with respect to an image surface I, and the second lens group G2 moves so as to have a component substantially perpendicular to the optical axis.
