<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-transmission type liquid crystal display device in which a viewing angle is improved when an image is displayed and deterioration of image quality due to alignment disorder of a liquid crystal is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a first region having an insulating film on an insulating surface and a second region not having the insulating film on the insulating surface. A first conductive film is provided on the insulating film in the first region, and a second conductive film is provided on the insulating surface in the second region. The first conductive film has a function of reflecting light, and the second conductive film has a function of transmitting the light. A liquid crystal layer is provided on the first conductive film and on the second conductive film. In the first region, the insulating film has a first projection part and a second projection part, has a region where a distance from an end part of the insulating film to an end part of the first conductive film is longer than a distance from the end part of the insulating film to a first end part of the second conductive film, and has a region where a height from a position of the bottom of a recessed part between the first projection part and the second projection part to a position of the top of the first projection part is lower than a height from the insulating surface to the position of the bottom of the recessed part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
