<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell with high efficiency by significantly improving electromotive force per unit area, and to provide a solar cell with high efficiency, capable of achieving a wide range of applications by cost reduction resulting from downsizing and flexible shapes. <P>SOLUTION: Fine particles of i-type amorphous silicon at nanometer level and thin layers at nanometer level are alternately laminated between p-type silicon and n-type silicon to significantly increase a p-n junction intermediate section area per unit area. As a result, pairs of electrons and holes that are created carriers are generated in larger quantity and polarization is expedited, thus achieving greater electromotive force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
