<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for two-converter type power supply unit and power supply unit, capable of suppressing switching loss, improving power conversion efficiency and reducing the size of the unit. <P>SOLUTION: A selection switching element Qs is connected between a first converter CV1 and a second converter CV2, and a check diode Ds is connected between a rectifier circuit 2 and the second converter CV2.
