<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing waste of paper sheets due to a prank or false recognition by a user without relying on a method of increasing the size of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is configured to cut a paper sheet in a printing region after printing an image, and includes: an image forming portion for printing an image on a paper sheet 15; a discharge opening 14 for discharging the paper sheet 15; a paper sheet transport monitoring portion 31 for determining the paper sheet 15 having been discharged from the discharge opening 14 to be pulled from the outside; and a paper sheet cutting means 32 to cut the paper sheet 15 to be separated. When the paper sheet 15 is determined to be pulled from the outside before set at a position allowing an image printing region to be discharged by the paper sheet transport monitoring portion 31, the paper sheet is cut by the paper cutting means 32 by being operatively connected with the determination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
