The device comprises a processor configured to receive a request to perform the PS data service with a first subscriber identity card, reduce a plurality of scheduled monitoring tasks associated with a second subscriber identity card, and perform the PS data service with the first subscriber identity card while using the reduced plurality of scheduled monitoring tasks to maintain mobility or receive network messages with the second subscriber identity card.
