Provided is a calculator having: a means for managing memory through division thereof into at least a first memory area for storing generated data, one or more second memory areas serving as a transfer destination for data stored in the first memory area, and one or more locked areas comprising third memory areas that do not serve as a transfer destination for data stored in the first memory area and the second memory area; a data transfer means for transferring data that has a relational nature to data in the first memory area to the second memory area; an area conversion means for converting the second memory area into which data has been transferred into the third memory area; an update detection means for detecting an update to data stored in the third memory area; an update data transfer means for transferring data for which an update has been detected to a locked area other than the third memory area; and an investigation means for investigating the relational nature of data in the memory, targeting data stored in the first memory area and in a locked area to which data has been transferred.
