<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The calender (1) has a rolling nip (5) for processing a fibrous material web (10) i.e. paper, that traverses the calender on a web trajectory path. Heated and elastic rollers (2, 3) with smooth metallic surfaces are provided for processing both sides of the web. Upstream moistening devices (6, 6a, 6b) are arranged before the rollers in web travel direction (11). The trajectory path runs vertical to the moistening devices that are arranged on the both sides of the web in same height.
