When a charging roller charge a photosensitive drum by being applied with a direct-current voltage, a gap between the roller and the photosensitive drum is exposed to light with a constant light amount. However, if the process speed is lowered, charging non-uniformity occurs. Therefore, when the process speed is low, the amount of light radiated to the charging gap is made higher than that when the process speed is low. |
