<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the quality of a welding part that welds a pair of flanges. <P>SOLUTION: A joining method of vehicle body members includes: a first process to make a pair of flanges 14 that extend along the edge 12A of a pair of vehicle body panels 12 oppose mutually and makes the adhesive 20 interpose between the pair of flanges 14; and a second process to perform spot welding by pushing the pair of flanges 14 to sides each other by a pair of spot guns 28 at a position that overlaps a surplus length part 24 in the direction (x direction) to which the pair of flanges 14 extend in the condition that forms the surplus length part 24 to a crossing wall part 16 extending from a base end part of the pair of flanges 14 and to the direction (Y direction) that intersects with this flange 14 beforehand. Thereby, extension of the surplus length part 24 at the spot welding time makes the pair of flanges 14 easily put together from the base end side by extending over to the tip side.
