The particle size of the fluorescent microparticles (32) is no greater than the wavelength of the incoming light, and the thickness of the fluorescent-body-containing member (30) in the direction perpendicular to the primary surface of the transparent substrate (10) in a cross section that is any given profile line of the fluorescent-body-containing member (30) in the direction perpendicular to the primary surface of the transparent substrate (10) is no greater than the wavelength of the incoming light.
