摘要 The present invention relates to a novel paenibacillus sp. strain and to a novel protein isolated therefrom, and more particularly, to a novel paenibacillus sp. strain for producing xylanase, to a novel xylanase isolated therefrom which has high activity at high temperatures over a wide pH range, and to a method for producing same. The paenibacillus sp. HPL-001 (paenibacillus sp. HPL-3, KCTC11987BP) strain and the xylanase, according to the present invention, have high activity at high temperatures over a wide pH range so as to decompose xylan, which is an important component in various cellulose biomasses, and therefore can be valuably used to develop biofuels and alternative fuels, specially functionalized materials, biopolymers, foods and feeds, and so forth.
