<p>Provided is an apparatus and a method for jointly cooking food with hot water and steam, comprising: a main body and a food container capable of being separated from the main body, the main body comprising a machine body and a base; the machine body accommodates a water tank and a boiler under the water tank; the base extends beyond the bottom of the main body laterally for supporting the food container; monodirectional fluid communication is designed between the water tank and the boiler, as well as between the boiler and the food container; the boiler is used for receiving and heating the water from the water tank, and transferring the resultant hot water and steam to the food container. Also provided is a method for cooking food using the apparatus. The food container can be separated from the main body, i.e. separated from the heat source and the power supply. The container can be readily cleaned. By means of cooking food using hot water and steam jointly, the amount of energy is easy to control, so that good effects from cooking are obtained without spoiling the nutritional constituents in food.</p> |
