PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a consumable management system capable of displaying a risk in a case where a non-genuine product is used.

SOLUTION: A consumable management device includes: a receiving section for receiving apparatus information from an image forming device when a consumable is detected to be mounted on the image forming device; a mean life storage section; a predicted life calculating section for calculating a predicted life from use history information and a mean life; a risk storage section that associates a risk in a case where a genuine consumable is used with a life of a product or the consumable and stores the risk while associating a risk in a case where a non-genuine consumable is used with the life of the product or the consumable and storing the risk; an analyzing section that obtains a risk corresponding to a residual life in the case where the genuine consumable is used from the predicted life and the risk in the case where the genuine consumable is used while obtaining a risk corresponding to a residual life in the case where the non-genuine consumable is used from the predicted life and the risk in the case where the non-genuine consumable is used; and a transmitting section for transmitting a result obtained by the analyzing section as prediction information to the image forming device.
