<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a favorable baroreflex stimulation system. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes a pulse generator 1139, a lead, a sensor, and a controller 1123, in each of various embodiments of an embedded type device. The pulse generator generates a baroreflex stimulation signal as a part of a baroreflex therapy. The lead is electrically connected to the pulse generator, and is intravascularly supplied to a heart. The lead includes an electrode positioned in an inside of the heart or in the vicinity thereof, to transmit a baroreflex signal to a baroreceptor region in the inside of the heart or in the vicinity thereof. The sensor senses a physiological parameter about an effectiveness of the baroreflex therapy, and provides a signal indicating the effectiveness. The controller is connected to the pulse generator, to control the baroreflex stimulation signal, and is connected to the sensor, to receive the signal indicating the effectiveness of the baroreflex therapy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
