<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinion transfer device of a starter that prevents dispersion of grease from an opening of a substantially C-shaped shift piece, and prevents wear of the shift piece and an output shaft by holding the grease for a long period and continuing to supply the holding grease to an abutting surface between the shift piece and the output shaft. <P>SOLUTION: The pinion transfer device of the starter includes a shift lever 3 for transmitting thrust of an electromagnetic switch 2 to the output shaft 1 to axially move the output shaft 1. The shift lever 3 on a side of the output shaft 1 is forked, and the substantially C-shaped shift piece 8 which is rotatably engaged with both tips of the forked part is inserted between two collars 9 and 11 formed on the output shaft 1, thereby being freely rotatable and axially regulated. The opening of the shift piece 8 is engaged with a cover 12 to form a ring in which the output shaft 1 is surrounded by the cover 12 and the shift piece 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
