PURPOSE: A magnetic field distortion mode device and a method for measuring a liquid surface height are provided to automatically set an optimal comparison voltage with software of a microprocessor. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic field distortion mode device for measuring a liquid surface height comprises a pulse wave generator(112), an ultrasonic wave receiving member(124), a comparator(115), a comparison voltage generating unit(116), and a microprocessor. The pulse wave generator generates predetermined pulse waves according to a staring signal, thereby applying to a probe. The ultrasonic wave receiving member receives ultrasonic signals caused by the pulse waves from the probe. The comparator outputs a stopping signal by comparing a predetermined comparison voltage and signals transmitted through the ultrasonic wave receiving member. The comparison voltage generating unit supplies the comparison voltage according to controlling signals. The microprocessor controls the comparison voltage generating unit, thereby supplying first voltage as the comparison voltage. The microprocessor provides starting signals to the pulse wave generator, thereby generating pulses. |
