<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of adjusting transferability of monochrome images or multiple color images formed so that at least a part of the images overlap each other on both surfaces of a recording medium through front sides and rear sides. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: toner image formation means 204 for detecting transferability for forming a plurality of toner images for detecting transferability formed on a first surface of the recording medium and toner images for detecting transferability formed on a second surface of the recording medium so that at least a part of the toner images overlap each other on the first surface and the second surface of the recording medium by making transfer conditions of transfer means different from each other; concentration detection means 4 for detecting concentration of the plurality of toner images for detecting transferability transferred to the second surface of the recording medium or concentration of the plurality of toner images for detecting transferability remaining on an image holding body; and selection means 205 for selecting the transfer condition in the transfer means on the basis of the detection result of the concentration detection means 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
