<p>System for locking in "park" a transmission comprising an automatic gearbox, having a locking pawl (30) that locks a "park" locking wheel (36). An actuating device comprises a carriage (60) able to slide with respect to the pawl in order alternately to move it into a position in which "park" is unlocked or locked. The actuating device comprises an elastic return member that tends to position the carriage in a locking position in order to move the pawl into the "park" lock position. A mechanism (84) links the driving of the carriage with a gear change fork. A locking unit (90) is provided with a pusher (94) that deactivates this mechanism by locking the carriage in the position in which the pawl is unlocked. The unit activates the mechanism by releasing the pusher (94) to position the carriage in the locked position and the pawl in the "park" locked position, the fork having a gear ratio engaged.
