PURPOSE: A shock absorbing apparatus for a vibration ripper is provided to absorb vibration or shock from the vibration ripper in multiple steps, thereby improving the durability of the damping rubbers on the side surfaces of a vibration unit, and preventing the vibration unit from being shaken back and forth. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing apparatus for a vibration ripper includes a vibration unit(10), plural damping rubbers(13), and at least one damping unit(70). The vibration unit has a vibration generating unit(11) and a motor for actuating the vibration generating unit. The damping rubbers are installed in between the vibration unit and the case(20) of the vibration ripper, and absorb the vibration and shock. The vibration unit includes an upper damping part(31) installed on the upper inner surface of the case, a lower damping part(33) installed on the upper surface of the vibration unit, and a link part(35) which connects the upper and lower damping parts together.
