<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-size material cutting device capable of cutting a plurality of long-size materials to a set length and capable of improving the cutting work efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The long-size material cutting device cuts long-size materials to a set length by making the long-size materials, which are conveyed by a conveying means 20, abut on a stopper 30 for positioning and by moving a cutting means of a cutter 40 in the cross direction. When all the long-size materials to be conveyed have abutted on the stopper 30 and positioning has been completed, the conveying means 20 is stopped to shorten the time to continue the conveyance of the long-size material toward the stopper 30 to the minimum necessary time, and after moving the cutting means and cutting the long-size materials, the cutting means is stopped to shorten the moving distance of the cutting means to the minimum necessary distance so as to improve the cutting work efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
