<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method for a spot weld which allows the fusion starting time and fusion disappearing time of a rust prevention material or plating applied to or formed on a steel plate, and the fusion starting time and fusion terminating time of the steel plate to be independently and accurately detected. <P>SOLUTION: A fusion inspection method for a spot weld by injecting ultrasonic waves into the spot weld of a work including a steel plate and a surface treatment material formed on the steel plate comprises the steps of: intermittently injecting transverse ultrasonic waves into the work and intermittently detecting reflection waves from a fusion zone; making a contour map of the reflection wave intensity having the time series (longitudinal axis) and the reflection wave detection time (transverse axis) by arranging obtained reflection wave form diagrams showing the relation between the reflection wave detection time (transverse axis) and the reflection wave intensity (longitudinal axis) in time series and representing reflection wave intensity data in contour; and independently reading the reflection wave from the steel plate fusion and the reflection wave from the surface treatment material fusion from reflection wave regions independently shown in the contour map. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
