Cpds. of formula (I): (where Q is a gp. of formula: R1-chMe-CO-N and R1 is phenyl opt. substd. by Cl, Br, Me or CF3), are prepd. by (a) reacting Q-SO2NH2 or its alkali metal salt with X-CO-R (where R = cyclohexylamino and X is halogen, amino or OH or SH substd. by opt. substd. alkyl, aralkyl or aryl); (b) reacting Q-SO2NHCOY with cyclohexylamine (where Y is as X or is mono- or di-substd. amino); (c) oxidising Q-SO2N=C(SR2)-R (where R2 = H or opt. substd. alkyl, aralkyl or aryl); (d) reacting Q-SO2-NCO with cyclohexylamine; (e) dealkylating Q-SO2N=C(OR3)-R (where R3 = opt. substd. alkyl, aralkyl or aryl); (f) reaction of Q-SO2Hal (where Hal = Cl or Br) with cyclohexylparabanic acid followed b acid or base hydrolysis; or (g) reacting 1-(1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-7-isoquinolinylsulphonyl)-3-cyclohexyl-urea with R1CH(Me)COZ (where Z is OH, alkoxy, acyloxy, amino or a reactive gp.; e.g. halogen, opt. formed in situ).
