摘要 <p>The method comprises subjecting a blank of a functional element to a thermal treatment at a temperature of 480-590[deg] C for curing a base material, subjecting the blank to carbon diffusion in a salt melt in the presence of carbonate and/or phosphate for the storage of carbon atoms to form a diffusion zone or a diffusion layer at a surface of the blank, where the blank is made of a titanium-containing steel alloy or a titanium-containing sintered material comprising titanium carbide (20-45 wt.%), and applying a hard material coating on the functional element for increasing wear-resistance. The method comprises subjecting a blank of a functional element to a thermal treatment at a temperature of 480-590[deg] C for curing a base material, subjecting the blank to carbon diffusion in a salt melt in the presence of carbonate and/or phosphate for the storage of carbon atoms to form a diffusion zone or a diffusion layer at a surface of the blank, where the blank is made of a titanium-containing steel alloy or a titanium-containing sintered material comprising titanium carbide (20-45 wt.%), applying a hard material coating on the functional element for increasing wear-resistance, and impregnating the blank with a thermosetting plastic material that closes pores of the blank. The carbon diffusion is carried out at a temperature of 200-600[deg] C for 5-6 days. The titanium-containing steel alloy or the titanium-containing sintered material comprises titanium in an amount of 10%. Oxygen is temporarily or permanently introduced in the salt melt during the carbon diffusion. The blank is treated in a protective gas atmosphere at a temperature above the room temperature for the diffusion of carbon. The blank has a pore size of 0.1-0.5 mu m. The surface of the blank is chemically and/or mechanically modified before carbon diffusion for opening the pores. The sintered material or alloy is an austenitic stainless steel.</p>
