<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static mixer capable of well and effectively mixing a mixed phase fluid with low viscosity in a cross-section perpendicular to a center axis of a tubular channel, having a mixing performance comparable to a conventional static mixer constituted by inserting laminated wave-shape plates into a tubular channel in the case gas feeding quantity is large and capable of efficiently generating microbubbles in liquid in the case the gas feeding quantity is few. <P>SOLUTION: The static mixer has: a blade body 12 for generating whirling flow, arranged in the cylindrical tubular channel 11; and an eddy current collapsing nozzle 13 arranged coaxially with the blade body 12 for generating whirling flow and provided downstream of the blade body 12 for generating whirling flow in the tubular channel 12.
