<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that achieves both space saving and usability when a post-processing device is detachably constituted in an in-body paper ejection part of an in-body ejection type image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image reading part; an image forming part; and a space for ejecting a sheet placed between the image reading part and the image forming part, wherein a post-processing device is detachably installed in the space part. In the apparatus, the space part is provided with two sheet ejection openings in upper and lower sides thereof, respectively, the post-processing device is detachably mounted on the first sheet ejection opening in the upper side, and the second sheet ejection opening in the lower side is closed when the post-processing device is mounted. As a result, the height of the space can be lowered, the ease of access by a user to an image reading device located in an upper body part of the image forming apparatus can be improved, and at the same time, cost necessary for downsizing of the apparatus can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
