<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video device with high contrast capable of obtaining high presentation effects by effectively utilizing light emitted from a light source. <P>SOLUTION: A video device 100 comprises: a light source 101; a liquid crystal panel 140 that acts as light modulating means for modulating light made incident to a plurality of pixels on the basis of image information; a condensing lens 130 that is disposed between the light source 101 and the liquid crystal panel 140 and acts as condensing means for condensing light from the light source 101 toward the liquid crystal panel 140; a projecting lens 150 that acts as projecting means for enlarging and projecting display light modulated by the liquid crystal panel 140; moving means 120 for moving the light source 101 in a plane intersecting with an optical axis L between the light source 101 and the liquid crystal panel 140; and a controller 160 for controlling moving means 120. The controller 160 controls moving means 120 such that the light from the light source 101 is condensed to a region including pixels that require illuminating out of the plurality of pixels of the liquid crystal panel 140 on the basis of the image information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
