SENSOR MODULE AND SENSOR SYSTEM FOR SOFT OBJECT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor module allowed to be simply packaged without losing original softness and safety of a soft object and capable of measuring load or deformation applied to the soft object.

SOLUTION: A sensor module is inserted into filler filled in a soft object. The sensor module includes a plurality of photo-reflectors arranged in mutually different directions to detect light reflected by the filler filled around the sensor module. A change in the density of the filler due to load or deformation applied to the soft object is measured based on outputs from the plurality of photo-reflectors. For instance, four sensor modules 62 are inserted into four corners of a cushion 60. An information processing device 63 sends a control instruction to a TV 61 in accordance with a measurement result (a position of the cushion pressed by a user) acquired from any one of the sensor modules 62.
