<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase detecting device and method of an AC generator, capable of controlling a leak current of a storge battery on a vehicle to be low, for such existing problems that a standby period of a battery (or storage battery) on the vehicle drops by an increase of the leak current due to standby of the storage battery, especially by a substantial increase of the leak current of a rectifying element under a high temperature environment, and further the vehicle comes to be unable to start smoothly. <P>SOLUTION: The phase detecting device of the AC generator is provided, which includes a waveform detector, a threshold voltage generator and a comparator. The waveform detector generates a waveform detection signal by detecting a peak of a phase signal. The threshold voltage generator generates a reference signal based on the waveform detection signal. The comparator outputs a comparison signal by comparing the phase signal and the reference signal. The leak current of the storage battery on the vehicle can be controllable to be low by the phase detecting device of the AC generator accordingly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
