<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display holding mechanism capable of surely holding a display of a use state while keeping quality during rotation by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The display holding mechanism includes: a brake shoe 52 for imparting braking torque to a rotation axis 54 of the display 18; and a brake lever section. The brake lever section comprises: pressing sections 60a and 62a for pressing the brake shoe 52 and first and second levers 60 and 62 including leaf spring sections 60b and 62b energized by a cam member 56. During rotation of the display 18, only the leaf spring section 60b of the first lever 60 is energized and small torque is imparted to the rotation axis 54. When the display 18 is stopped at a use position, the cam member 56 is rotated to energize the leaf spring section 62b of the second lever 60 and large torque is imparted to the rotation axis 54.
