<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that increases temperature of a heating rotator in a required minimum range when an image forming device is turned on, to quickly increase the temperature of an image heating device with less power consumption and start image formation. <P>SOLUTION: An induction heating device 70 having a plurality of magnetic cores 72 arranged in a longitudinal direction of a fixing roller 20 guides a magnetic flux generated by an exciting coil 71 to the fixing roller 20 in each area. A regulation member 73 moves the magnetic cores 72 close to and away from the fixing roller 20 to variably set a range of an image formation temperature in a longitudinal direction of the fixing roller 20. A control part 100 controls the regulation member 73, and sets a narrower image formation temperature range of the fixing roller 20 in controlling temperature increase of the induction heating device 70, as the longest conveyance width length of the recording materials stored in recording material cassettes 103, 104, 105 is smaller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
