<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to stop oil discharge from a steel pipe, in case the steel pipe, which is installed at the seabed to take crude oil or natural gas, breaks. <P>SOLUTION: In case that a deep-sea oil-well steel pipe 4 breaks undersea, a long non-magnetic insertion pipe 6 made of synthetic resin or the like with an approximately half the diameter of the steel pipe 4 is inserted through a breakage hole 5 of the steel pipe 4 down to a designated depth and is made stationary. After that, magnetic particles with diameters of a few millimeters to tens of millimeters are discretely poured from an upper hole 7 of the insertion pipe 6, stick by magnetic force to the inner surface of the steel pipe 4 around a bottom hole 8 of the insertion pipe 6, and join with each other forming a mass, suppressing discharge of crude oil. Finally, concrete is injected from the upper hole 7 of the insertion pipe 6, allowed to harden, and stops discharge of crude oil and the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
