The engine (5) has an air supply device (1) comprising an air supply channel (6) for a combustion cylinder. An air inlet opening (11) is provided with the combustion cylinder. A control air nozzle (15) is arranged in a region of the air inlet opening and designed for controlled mixing of an air fuel mixture in the combustion cylinder. The air nozzle comprises an opening region with an alignment (19), which is formed to introduce control air of the air nozzle to the region of air inlet opening transverse to flow of combustion air. The air nozzle is provided with butterfly valves.
