<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system for sufficiently scavenging air while preventing deterioration of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 1 comprises: a fuel cell stack 10 having an anode passage 11 and a cathode passage 12; a fuel gas supply passage; a fuel off-gas exhaust passage; an oxidant gas supply passage; an oxidant off-gas exhaust passage; a first sealing valve 32; a second sealing valve 33; sealing valve control means; a temperature sensor 26; and scavenging means for scavenging the anode passage 11 and the cathode passage 12 with scavenging air when a temperature of the fuel cell stack 10 is not more than a predetermined temperature after stopping power generation. The fuel cell system 1 seals the cathode passage 12 in stopping power generation. The fuel cell system is provided with elapsed time detection means for detecting an elapsed time from the stop of the power generation. While the scavenging means scavenges the air, when the elapsed time is within a first predetermined time period, the cathode passage 12 and the anode passage 11 are sequentially scavenged. When the elapsed time is beyond the first predetermined time period, the anode passage 11 and the cathode passage 12 are sequentially scavenged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
