<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency of a throw away tip regardless of rotation of a tip holder. <P>SOLUTION: A throw away type rotary cutting apparatus 1 includes a throw away tip 14 having a cutting edge formed thereon, a tip holder 12 having a holder section 30 holding the throw away tip, a drive unit 10 for pivotally supporting and turning the tip holder and a mounting table 16 that can move relatively to the axis 12a of the rotation of the tip holder. The tip holder further includes an introduction path 32 that is formed in the position of the axis of rotation and through which coolant is introduced, a heat exchange section 34 formed on the holder section side of the throw away tip and performing heat exchange between the introduced coolant and the throw away tip and a discharge path 36 discharging the coolant after heat exchange. Thus the throw away tip is cooled mainly from the inside of the tip holder 12 to improve the cooling efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
