The device (11) has assembly (12) for performing electrolysis that is thermally coupled to the electrical transducer (13), such that the waste heat of the electrical transducer are directly or indirectly used to perform electrolysis process. A structure having reversely-operated high temperature fuel cell such as solid oxide fuel cell is provided in assembly for electrolysis. An independent claim is included for photovoltaic arrangement.
