<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that prevents as much as possible wasteful toner consumption due to unnecessary refresh in replacing a toner container, and effectively prevents image defect immediately after replacing the toner container. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming device 100, a refresh process, in which toner is splashed from a developing roller 33 toward a photoreceptor drum 1 to perform toner forcible consumption, is executed after replacing a toner container 6, supplying unused toner to a developing device 3 and executing aging, to selectively transfer deteriorated toner to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1.
