<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that controls the bandwidth of a comparator in proportion to the change rate of a reference signal to time, thereby reducing the noise. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a pixel for generating signals by means of photoelectric conversion; a comparator (304) for comparing a pixel-based signal and a reference signal changing with the time; and a counter for taking count until the comparator starts outputting a signal indicating that the magnitude relationship between the pixel-based signals and the reference signal are reversed. The comparator includes a first amplifier (305) for inputting a reference signal into a first transistor gate and inputting a pixel-based signal into a second transistor gate, and comparing the pixel-based signal and the reference signal. The control part sets the comparator bandwidth to a first bandwidth if the reference signal changes depending on the time in a first change rate, and to a second bandwidth if the reference signal changes depending on the time in a second change rate which is smaller than the first change rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
