<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based gravure printing ink composition for a carton, having excellent dryable and levelable properties. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based gravure printing ink composition for a carton contains a colorant, an alkali- and water-soluble resin, and an aqueous medium, wherein solid concentration is 15-30 mass%, the alkali- and water-soluble resin satisfies a condition 1 described below, and the aqueous medium satisfies a condition 2 described below. The condition 1: the alkali- and water-soluble resin contains maleic acid isobutyl half ester and maleic acid ethoxyethoxyethyl half ester with a molar ratio in the range of 100/0-55/45, and has an acid value of 100-210 mg KOH/g. The condition 2: the aqueous medium is composed of water, 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol, and a 1-4C alcohol, the content of the aqueous medium in the ink composition is 30 mass% or less, and the content of 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol is 0.1-2.5 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
