摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst which can stably reduce carbon dioxide. <P>SOLUTION: The photocatalyst includes a metal oxide having an anatase-type crystal structure which is made of titanium, cobalt, and oxygen. The metal oxide is a compound expressed by the chemical formula: Ti<SB POS="POST">1-x</SB>Co<SB POS="POST">x</SB>O<SB POS="POST">2-a</SB>(0&le;x&le;1, -0.1&le;a&le;0). The photocatalyst is constituted by adding cobalt to titanium dioxide, prevents the produced amount of a reduction product produced by reducing carbon dioxide from being saturated even after the passage of time, and can increase the produced amount of the reduction product of carbon dioxide by light irradiation with the passage of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
