<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a fixing device that selects parallel connection or serial connection of a plurality of heaters, configured to immediately detect connection error of the heaters and reduce the time until power supply to a heating element is cut off. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes: a heater 109c having two heating elements 109f, 109g to be supplied with 200 V or 100 V, which are connected in series when 200 V is supplied, and are connected in parallel when 100 V is supplied; a voltage detection part 507 that detects a voltage to be supplied to the heater 109c; two current transformers 206, 207 connected in parallel to output a voltage corresponding to the current flowing in the two heating elements 109f, 109g; and a connection error detection circuit 400 that detects a connection error of the two heating elements 109f, 109g on the basis of an output from a connection point of the two current transformers 206, 207 when the voltage detection part 507 detects 200 V. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
