<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device that enables reliable stepless fixation after adjusting a position of a steering wheel. <P>SOLUTION: This steering device 1 includes at least one of a tilt mechanism for adjusting a height position in the vehicle vertical direction of the steering wheel, and a telescopic mechanism for adjusting a longitudinal position in the vehicle longitudinal direction. The steering device 1 includes: a fastening mechanism 50 for fastening a vehicle body-side bracket 31 and a column-side bracket 32 in the axial direction of a support shaft 33; and a lock mechanism 60 constituted of a flanged bevel gear 61 installed rotatably on the support shaft 33 and including teeth 62 formed around the axis of the support shaft 33, and a rack tooth 64 arranged in a clamp 34 and meshing with the teeth 62 of the flanged bevel gear 61 in the tangent direction of the flanged bevel gear 61.
