<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup device for a traffic signal capable of flashing signal lamps without being affected by a disaster such as flood. <P>SOLUTION: The backup system comprises: a main power source 10; a signal control section 4 which is driven by the main power source 10 and outputs signals to control signal lamps 16G, 16Y and 16R of a signal 1; an auxiliary power source 11 configured to be chargeable by receiving light in a light receiving section 9; and an auxiliary control section 12 which includes signal detection means which is driven by the auxiliary power source 11 to detect the signals outputted to the signal lamps 16G, 16Y and 16R of the signal 1 from the signal control section 4 and outputs signals to control the signal lamps 16G, 16Y and 16R of the signal 1 when the signals are not detected by the signal detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
