PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and information processing method that can generate a resource history for a user to easily understand.

SOLUTION: An acquisition unit is configured to acquire a status of a user while the user is working with a resource. An analysis unit is configured to acquire text information included in the resource by analyzing the resource. A generation unit is configured to generate one or more work labels from the status of the user and the text information, and to generate a work history to which a work label used for a search is assigned.
